J.D. recieving the Distinguished Flying Cross Posted by Hello

A Memorial Day Tribute

On this Memorial Day, I'd just like to send out my humble thanks to all of the men and women who have served our good country in the armed services. Many have given the ultimate sacrifice - their lives - and many have lived to serve a long career of service, or fulfill their duties and move on. I salute all of our veterans, from the Revolutionary War to the ongoing Iraqi Freedom.
I would like to thank one veteran who I have had the pleasure of getting to know in recent years - J.D. Wetterling. He was a pilot during Vietnam, and flew combat missions in an F-100 Super Sabre. He flew 268 missions in 1968-69, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He is a writer and novelist, and his website can be found at this link.
Thanks to J.D., and all other veterans, many enjoy freedom. Take time to thank a veteran.
